White Christmas

I went tomy Grandmas house for Christmas and it actually snowed! its hard to believe i know! but just look at the pictures! we got so much snow, we could actually build a tall snowman! Just one week ago i could wear shorts outside and now i have to bundle up. Texas weather is so strange!

OOTD: 12/24/12

My outfit today consisted of a quarter length sweater, circle skirt, and tall socks. my hair was pulled up in a sock bun. (the first time i actually had it turn out decently!)
 A little bit about today: with it being Christmas Eve and all, i went to a candle lighting ceremony at a church in my town. it was really pretty!

Home Decor.

This is my old house. the room was so tall we would have had to hire someone to paint the buttery yellow off. it would have gotten very pricey! so instead momma went on a decorating spree. we found the 2 floral chairs at a yard sale and placed those in-front of the tall windows. on the books shelves, we do have some books but it is mainly filled with little trinkets. the piano takes up so much room so we pushed it against the wall, out of everyone's way. oh how i miss this house (':

   Okay so my mom makes these "cookie things" they are actually made from club crackers and they have a yummy sugar drizzle with almonds. mmm! delicious! if you want the recipe comment below!

       well my grandparents are over at my house right now. and we will open gifts tomorrow and head back to their house to have dinner with the ENTIRE family. im so excited!

 

BOOK REVIEW: Insurgent

Just finished this book. Absolutely amazing! most sequels to books aren't as good as the first, however this sequel blew me away and i can not wait until the last book comes out next year! the first book is Divergent and it is about a 16 year old girl , Beatrice. she lives in a futuristic Chicago. the city is split into 5 factions. Erudite the Intelligent. Amity the Peaceful. Dauntless the Brave. Abnegation the Selfless. and Candor the Honest. Every year in this society all the 16 year olds have the chance to change the faction they were born into. doing this means they can never see their family ever again. SO Beatrice has to make the decision for herself if she wants to follow her heart or leave everything she has ever known behind. So that is a basic synopsys of the first book. the second book goes off more into detail about what comes from the decision she made and who Beatrice is. i hate comparing the two but..if you like the Hunger Games you will like this book, possibly even better. Guys can read this book although i think girls would like it more considering there is a love story mixed into the book. I recommend it to anyone who is willing to flip through the 525 pages. (:

Music I'm Loving

    I am currently obsessed with Marina and the Diamonds. (In fact i am listening to her right now)  My friend, Kindle, went to her concert this weekend and i knew who she was because of her song "Primadonna" but other than that i didn't know much about her. I did some research and she is my new favorite singer! She is so unlike anyone i have ever listened to. Her voice is so unique. unlike anything i have ever heard. i cant leave out her lyrics though! whether she rights her own music or has a songwriter I really love her lyrics.
